American Association of Museums (AAM) Unveils 2011 Museum Marketplace

Irving, TX, September 19, 2011– In an effort to continue to connect field professionals with suppliers and vendors, the American Association of Museums (AAM) is releasing the 2011 edition of the premier online tool for the museum industry.

The 2011 version of the Museum Marketplace contains updated company and product listings, as well as the same great features from previous editions.

The Marketplace provides consumers with a clutter-free way to browse for goods and services, searching only within the parameters of the museum industry. Professionals can utilize either a basic search by keyword or an advanced search using company name, exact phrase or geographic location.

Not only does this comprehensive marketplace aid museum industry professionals in providing convenient, industry-specific search capabilities, it gives suppliers a unique opportunity as well. Vendors can present their catalog of products to those industry-specific buyers they have been looking to target.

Listed suppliers can further connect with users through a completed listing, featuring: contact information, a quick e-mail option, location, links to the company’s website and social media pages and more. Suppliers also have the option to highlight specific products in the Product Showcase section of the Marketplace.

The Museum Marketplace is easily accessible through the AAM website at AAM-US.org and MuseumMarketplace.com.
