In November 2007, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a set of regulations, knows as the “red Flag Rule,” requiring that certain entities develop and implement written identify theft prevention and detection programs to protect consumers from identity theft. While the American Medical Association (AMA) is committed to the protection of patients and physicians, the Red Flag Rule did not specifically state whether physician practices were subject to Red Flag Requirements.

Using Botox to “Preview” Facial Cosmetic Surgery Results from Aesthetic Medicine News For the first time in several years, cosmetic surgery has declined among men, a recent survey reports.
According to results of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s annual Procedural Survey, there was a two percent decrease in the number of male patients of cosmetic surgeons in 2008. On the other hand, 29 percent more females visited a cosmetic surgeon during the year.
