Indiana IMAX Theater Fire Put Out By Sprinklers

The fire started in the men’s room at the theater, causing the evacuation of about 400 patrons and staff. The Plymouth, Mass., Fire Department, the Massachusetts state fire marshal’s office, the National Fire Protection Association of Quincy, Mass., and the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition sponsored a demonstration of home sprinkler systems in Plymouth, Mass., where four people have lost their lives to fire so far this year. They set fire to two identical living rooms, one that was protected by a sprinkler system and one that was not.
