Rebuilding Burned Homes with Safety in Mind from The York Daily Record – Aug. 18, 2009 A York, Pa., home and three others were damaged in a January fire started by a child playing with a lighter. Eventually, they'll be razed by Habitat for Humanity and replaced with new townhomes, to be built with fire safety in mind. They'll have a few key improvements, too. The new houses will have firewalls, which the old homes did not have. Habitat also plans to install sprinkler systems in the new homes. More
