Northlake, Ill., Private Condos Get Loan from City for Sprinkler System from the Franklin Park Herald-Journal – Aug. 18, 2009 The city of Northlake, Ill., is loaning a private condominium building around $50,000 to install a sprinkler system. On August 3, the Northlake City Council voted to propose a special service area -- the city's first -- for King Arthur Condominiums building. The building contains 20 condos. A public hearing, which is scheduled for Sept. 21, is required before the ordinance takes effect. More

Omaha, Neb., Fire Headquarters Needs Fire Sprinklers from WOWT – Aug. 24, 2009 A newly renovated building in downtown Omaha, Neb., needs a fire sprinkler system. What makes that news is because it’s the fire division headquarters. City Fire Inspection Chief Ed Karbowski says, “We impose sprinkler requirements on newer buildings to make them safe.
