Foreclosures Creating Certain Jobs

But some people are finding that the foreclosures are increasing their work load. In these hard times, locksmiths like David Bunch have seen business boom. "I've seen a big increase. Bill Would Require Background Checks for Locksmiths

Rep. Jim McCune has proposed legislation that would require criminal background checks for locksmiths. House Bill 1531 would require all applicants and registrants who perform locksmith services to periodically obtain a criminal background check. The bill would deny or revoke registrations if a background check reveals a violent or sex offense or various felonies. The cost of background checks would be covered by fees paid by the employer or applicant. The measure is based on model legislation from the Associated Locksmiths of America. More
