Business Owners Locking up A/C Systems from Pensacola News Journal Copper thieves recently stole an air conditioner and vandalized another at the First West Florida Baptist Center in Pensacola, Fla., forcing the Rev. Kenneth Jessie — the center’s director — to work for days in his boiling office. After paying about $2,800 to replace and repair the missing and damaged units, Jessie was determined to prevent future thefts. “We had the A/C units wired to our alarm system and wired the fences around the units to the alarm, too,” he said. “We haven’t had any problems since then.”

Home Security Camera Comes to Rescue in Daytona Beach from Fox 35 News Police in Volusia County, Fla. are looking for four guys caught casing cars over the weekend. The home’s security camera caught them on tape and gave police clues to work with. Police think the guys were trying to steal stuff from cars in the Indigo Lakes subdivision over the weekend. Police say they were checking to see if cars were left unlocked. They should have checked for cameras before they went into Bill Roberts’s driveway. More
