Bicycle Theft Declining at the University of Arizona Due to Bike Locks

In 2007 University of Arizona Police report over 230 bikes were ripped off. That's nearly a dozen less than the previous year. Police credit the decrease due to awareness and selling special bike locks. Andy Valenzuela of the University of Arizona Police says, "It allows us to educate students on how to properly and safely lock their bikes and how to be cognizant of the laws and safety features while riding bikes.
