GM Recalls 944,000 Vehicles for Fire Hazard

General Motors is recalling 944,000 vehicles, 850,000 of them in the United States, because of the potential for a fire in the vehicles' heated windshield washer fluid system. OSHA Seeks Approval for Proposed Rule on PPE Standards Violations

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is accepting public comments on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on PPE and training standards. The proposal clarifies that when an OSHA standard requires an employer to provide PPE, such as respirators or training, each employee not protected may be considered a separate violation for penalty purposes.
