The New York Times Share
Delphi,
the automotive parts maker that was spun off by General Motors, completed a messy, four-year stay in bankruptcy protection with a sale of its assets to lenders and its former parent. Troubleshooting power windows
MotorAge Share
Power window systems use an electric motor to move the glass via a regulator to which the glass is attached. The motor is a DC (direct current) design, using two brushes riding on an armature, just like a starter motor. The direction of rotation is determined by the direction of current flow applied to the motor. The amount of current flow is influenced primarily by the amount of resistance to movement the motor has to
overcome. This is true of any electric motor, whether it be a window motor, starter motor or even a fuel pump. More

A trip to the auto repair shop can feel like visiting a foreign country for some motorists--they do not understand the language and are worried about being taken advantage of by the locals. However, AAA says a trip to the
repair shop can be much easier--and less stressful--by selecting a quality facility and learning to speak 'auto tech.' More

How to avoid the $1 million dollar brake job
Zurich Share
You may not want to believe that a simple tire rotation or brake job could cost your dealership or service and repair business in excess of $1 million dollars, but the fact is it
can, according to Zurich. These incidents happen every year and the stories are familiar. Are you a high-end import dealer? If a technician or someone in your "quick-lube" department forgets to put oil back into an engine, how much will it cost to replace it? Does $10,000 sound close? It is important to protect yourself from both catastrophic and nuisance claims. More

Chrysler Group LLC created a separate brand for its Dodge Ram trucks and announced a
management shake-up that signaled a new direction for Chrysler and Dodge, while reaffirming its strongest brand -- the outdoorsy Jeep. More
