USA Swimming Rewards its Coaches from Colorado Springs Gazette
Bob Bowman didn't receive any hardware when Michael Phelps swam into the Olympic record books with eight gold medals last summer in Beijing. Neither did Michael Lohberg when Dara Torres showed age hardly matters by winning three silvers. Swimming's national governing body is making sure the coaches who helped propel their stars into the spotlight are being compensated properly, aided by the largest charitable contribution in the five-year history of its foundation.

U.S. Nutritionists Urge New, Not-as-Sweet Drinks

They proposed a new class of reduced-calorie beverages with no more than 1 gram of sugar per ounce, which with about 50 calories is about 70 percent less sugar than a typical soft drink contains.
