The National Restaurant Association announced that the 2012 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, originally scheduled for 19-22 May 2012 at Chicago's McCormick Place, will be
held from 5-8 May 2012 at Chicago's McCormick Place. This change reflects the association's decision to avoid overlap with the Global G8 and NATO Summit scheduled to take place in Chicago from 15-22 May 2012.

Following the end of the global economic crisis, the figures for foreign exhibitors taking part in German
trade fairs have recovered throughout. Compared with corresponding events in previous years, in 2010 their numbers rose by 2.7 percent, following a 5 percent drop in 2009. Particularly for Asian participation which decreased substantially in 2009, there was a return to the performance of recent years. These are the findings of a survey carried out by AUMA Association of the German Trade Fair Industry.

Nearly 60 percent of Canadian manufacturing companies are planning to spend more money on manufacturing equipment this year compared to 2010, while approximately 30 percent are prepared to spend the same year over year. That is the finding of a national survey conducted by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

The exhibition business in the Asia-Pacific region has largely recovered from the global financial crisis, a survey by trade show organizers association, UFI has found. According to the study, the Asian
trade fair industry grew by 4.3 percent in 2010, with the net area sold by organizers totaling 15.5 million square meters – nearly double the 8.1 million square meters sold in 2004, when the report was first published.

Munich, Germany's bike expo has grown its trade attendance again this year, recording a 14 percent jump in industry professionals visiting. According to organizers, 6,500 trade members from over 50
countries made the journey. Further to this, over the weekend more than 15,000 consumers made the journey to see exhibitions from a total of 301 exhibitors - itself a 17 percent jump in booths.
