IFSEC 2012 Gets a Facelift Following Exhibitor and Visitor Feedback

UBM is overhauling content at its next IFSEC International 2012 exhibition and revamping the show's floor plan following extensive research on exhibitor and visitor experience. IFSEC Event Director Charlie Cracknell said the organizer's operations team is working with a creative agency to develop easier navigation for the NEC-based event to overcome previous challenges with the show layout. It has also planned a series of new features including a product innovation showcase.

Team San Jose — the city's convention and visitors bureau (CVB) that also oversees the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, along with other arts and entertainment venues received a unanimous vote of confidence 13 December from the city council and San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed to drop the RFP process to find another entity for CVB and venue management responsibilities.

The numbers indicate that not only will sales reach a new high of $598 million this year, beating forecasts, but also group sales are predicted to top $654 million for the first time ever in 2012.
