Employers are looking for people like Chapman, who graduated last month from the Waco, Texas school with a master's in social work. The online job search site Jobfox announced social workers reached the top 10 most in-demand careers. And the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts the need for social workers will rise by 22 percent by 2016. More

First U.S. Social Work Distance Ed Course Catalog Announced from The New Social Worker The Technology & Distance Education Committee of the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors (BPD), the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Social Work, and the University of Hawai'i at Manoa School of Social Work have announced the creation of the first U.S. Social Work Distance Education Course Catalog. The catalog lists accredited social work courses that are currently offered via distance education.
