RV Makers Cutting More Than 600 Jobs in Indiana

Elkhart County, already saddled with Indiana's highest unemployment rate of 15.3 percent in December because of layoffs in the recreational vehicle industry, got more bad news this week when two RV makers announced another 600 workers will lose their jobs. Keystone RV Co. in Goshen informed 350 workers Monday that they will be laid off in April. Jayco Inc. in Middlebury told more than 250 workers that they will be out of work in two weeks. More

Gas Prices: Up 14 Percent for the Month

Gasoline prices edged higher Saturday and are now 14 percent higher from where they started the month, according to a daily survey of credit card swipes. The price of gas hit a national average of $1.855 a gallon, up slightly from $1.846 a gallon last week, according to motorist group AAA. Prices have been on an upward trajectory for most of the month, starting January some 23 cents lower at $1.626 a gallon. More
