Recently noticed was the summer contests that were hosted by Go RVing in partnership with both Better Homes and Gardens and Budget Travel magazines. Clint Ethington of Pedata RV Center said, "The fact that two major national magazines co-hosted a summer contest with a major recreational vehicle organization … means that RV is definitely now a household name."

Winnebago CEO Optimistic About Expanding RV Market from ABC News A high school graduate who learned everything he knows about motor homes from "the university of Winnebago" has navigated one of the industry's leading manufacturers over very bumpy terrain in the past year. Robert Olson, 58, took a job installing motor home windows at Winnebago Industries Inc. at age 18 in hopes of saving money for college. He never left, foregoing a college education for on-the-job training that led him to where he is now, 40 years later, sitting in the CEO seat. He now sees the RV market expanding to younger buyers.

RV Park's Days Appear Numbered on Sauvie Island in Oregon from The Oregonian Since Simon Reeder first founded the family homestead in 1853, four generations of Reeders have lived and worked the acres along Sauvie Island's eastern shore. For the last 60, Jim and Jan Reeder have run an RV park there, one that started before urban growth boundaries and zoning and land-use codes.
