Survey Says RV and Camping Life in Texas Going Strong from Human Events
The recent roller coaster ride in fuel costs has failed to deter RV enthusiasts from enjoying private campgrounds and RV resorts in Texas, according to a recent online survey by the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO). The survey, conducted in October, found that 82 percent of RV enthusiasts planned to use their RVs this fall at least as much as they did last year at this time. More
Winter Guests Still Flocking to Arizona RV Parks from Today's News Herald Despite a downtrodden economy, winter visitors appear to be returning to Lake Havasu City. Bucking the figures from several other vacation spots in AZ, the city’s warm climate is bringing in its part-time residents, as numbers from RV parks in the city remain consistent with last year. "We are pretty much full right now, as anticipated," Ann Quiggle, manager of Islander RV Park said. "There are a lot of first-timers just driving in for the winter, which is unusual." More
RVDA Honors Towable and Motorized RV Brands with Quality Circle Awards for Dealer Satisfaction from RVDA RVDA will honor 17 RV brands built by six manufacturers with its Quality Circle Award just prior to the opening of the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY, on Dec. 1. These brands/manufacturers received at least 15 dealer responses and scored 80 percent or above in overall dealer satisfaction in the association’s 15th Annual Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey. RV Manager Yams It Up for Turkey Drive from YourWestValley.com Cindy Daly of Sun City RV, an RVDA member in Arizona, stood below an RV suspended 40 feet in the air, laughing at General Manager Danny Graham as he carefully made his way inside. Graham will sit inside that RV until Sun City RV receives 500 frozen turkeys, which will be given to John C. Lincoln Hospital's Desert Mission Food Bank. Graham said he is committed to staying in the RV for up to three days. More
