Cowboys Stadium will have to Wait for UIL Football Championships

The University Interscholastic League has two requirements for the site of its Class 5A state football championship games: protection from the weather and plenty of seating. The new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington has both. The site will be either the Alamodome in San Antonio or Reliant Stadium in Houston. The 5A Division I and II games were played in the Alamodome in 2006 and '07 and at Reliant Stadium last year.

Coaches Drawing Up a Game Plan to Keep Girls in Sports

Susan Brewer has been coaching volleyball for 32 years at Bellville High School, and in all that time, she has never missed a Texas Girls Coaching Association Coaching Clinic.
Brewer has been a speaker and an All-Star coach and has served as a chairperson for the organization, and she says she does it all to keep girls athletics going. Like many coaches of female athletics, Brewer has seen first-hand how much athletics benefit young women.
