Multi Marketing: 3 Tips to Create Your 2014 Marketing Plan
It’s that time of year again! With the month of January comes a lot of new starts in your personal life, but don’t let that stand in the way of your business’ success this year. There are several ways you can get your marketing plan on track; and here we will discuss three simple ideas to drive more business.
1. Review and update the content on your website. It is easy to build your site and let it sit idle for years without updating it as your business matures. Don’t do that! Set aside a few days this month dedicated to reviewing and updating the information on your site so your customers have the best information possible when making buying decisions. If you don’t have a website for your business, perhaps you can spend your time developing content for a site to be created. For those of you with a site with the most current content, consider upgrading your site to a responsive design or, at a minimum, integrate a mobile site for those users.
2. Create a social media plan for the year with attainable goals. While many of us are managing the daily issues that arise, we can forget to create interesting content for our social media accounts. We all know that interesting content is what drives more social media influence, so why not set up a spreadsheet with content ideas and a rollout plan for this year? Don’t neglect your blog, Facebook account, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google+. I know it’s a lot, but there are enough social media management programs that will take the stress out of it.
3. Take a moment to search for your company and investigate the reviews. More and more people are relying on ratings and reviews to make purchasing decisions, and it is important to know what customers are saying about you. If you get a negative review, handle it appropriately and do whatever you can to rectify the situation. If you have a base of loyal customers, ask them to review you on the sites in which you feel you need positive reviews.
