Multi-Volunteering: Helping Make Wishes Come True
Cooler temperatures, wind and rain didn’t stop the racers at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 5th annual Wish 100 cycling event this past weekend, and they certainly didn’t stop the MultiView volunteers from rolling out to cheer on the racers while serving them water, coffee and snacks.
Sara Stokes, Kelby Scrougham, Sarah Morrison, Darren Horrell, Samantha Birk, and I donned our MultiView gear and arrived at the MultiView-sponsored rest stop by the McKinney, TX Courthouse at 6:30am on Saturday to help cheer on the people who selflessly raised money for making wishes come true for children with life threatening medical conditions. This event offered 10, 45, and 60-mile rides through McKinney, Texas and surrounding cities in Collin County, bringing enthusiasts together to raise funds
Race participants (there were over 700) were challenged with raising at least $750 to race. Our very own CFO, Omar Choucair, rode the 60-mile race after single-handedly raising over $2,420 for Make-A-Wish! Way to go, Omar! Also, a special thanks to the people I mentioned above for sacrificing your Saturday to give back!
