Executive Editor

BIOGRAPHY

I have been with Multiview since 2013, when I started as a Content Editor. I was promoted to Executive Editor in 2016, and currently oversee the Canadian editorial team and a few other editors based out of our Dallas office. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Honours English from the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Before landing at Multiview, I volunteered for my local Rogers Television channel, serving as both a production assistant and editorial assistant in the newsroom for their daily news program. While completing grad school, I served as a teaching assistant for my department’s introductory Communication Studies courses, and as a research assistant at the Laurier News Lab – truly a mix of academic and hands-on experience.

I always said I wanted a “media job,” and my role at Multiview has put me in the thick of it! As an Executive Editor, my projects span a variety of industries, from fresh produce to commercial real estate. I’ve travelled to several conferences to produce on-site show briefs, and I’m also keen on any writing opportunities that come my way. Outside of work, I’m usually reading, baking, attending sporting events, trying a new restaurant or planning my next trip.

Technology in retail: How innovative tech empowers SMBs

It can be challenging for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to compete with industry giants such as Amazon, Target and Wal-Mart, especially in light of a global pandemic. Larger retailers often have a set of advantages that SMBs lack – such as budget, brand recognition, and logistical infrastructure – ultimately allowing them to dominate the market.
